In short, that is tool(s) by which user interact with some kind of system. If we talk about software, this usually called UI - user interface. The user interface of a program (software) refers to the graphical, textual and auditory information the program presents to the user, and the control sequences (such as keystrokes with the keyboard, movements of the mouse, and selections with the touchscreen) the user employs to control the program. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is a graphical part of the interface and usually called Skin.
